Toyota Prius to get sound option

Toyota begins this week to sell a sound system that will make electric cars less silent since quiet cars are a traffic hazard. Toyota are launching a noise device for the Prius to create a whirring sound when the Prius runs just on the electric motor. Read more »

Smaller electric cars reigns at the North American International Autoshow

The North American International Autoshow in Detroit opens up January 11 to 24th 2010. At least 30 new vehicles are scheduled to be revealed for the first time this week and a number of electric-powered vehicles are set to debut at the North American International Auto show.
Ford won the award for the best green city car for the the Fusion Hybrid.

Toyota FT-86 build a sportscar in cooperation with Subaru.

The FT-86 Concept is a performance-oriented small car.The FT-86 is engineered and styled and designed by Toyota, but it uses a 2.0 litre Subaru boxer engine. The engine is Subaru horizontally-opposed engine technology for a lower center of gravity and will be built by Subaru. Toyota is a minority shareholder (17% of Subaru). Read more »
