Tesla - a new business model

February 4, 2010 by rollingcar

Tesla Motors is preparing an initial public offering it hopes will  raise as much as $100 million. The application documents shows that Tesla Motors plans to stop building Roadster in 2011.Tesla larger car, the Model S, will start production 2012th.

The reasons for us to stop producing the models are changes in a supplier. It is not clear from the documents, but several industry analysts assume that this is Lotus, which is expected to cease production model Elise, whose chassis are contained in the Tesla Roadster. A successor is scheduled for no earlier than 2013th

So now Tesla Motors have a $465 loan from US department of energy according to a pressrelease from 21st of January and an IPO that probably will get $100 BUT no cars to sell next year.
