Peugeot has developed Peugeot Q a three wheeled concept electric vehicle. It is a concept idea with round shape and the car looks futuristic. It was evolved by designer Juan Trillo and the car is designed for two people. The rear wheel can be rotated through 360 degrees for easy parkting. The two front wheels are each equipped with a lithium-ion battery. 

One of the first places in the world to test Peugeot Ion is the municipality of Östersund in Sweden. The local energy provider Jämtkraft and Peugeot today signed a cooperation agreement according to a pressrelease on the testing of electric vehicles in winter climates. 

Under the agreement, Peugeot choose to place 40 of its first Peugeot Ion in Ostersund, as one of the first places in the world. Electric cars, the first of a new generation of 100-percent electric-powered full-size cars, are expected to  the winter the town Östersund in February 2011. 

The coolest electric car at Paris Motor show, built of carbon fiber, is Peugeot's concept car EX1. The creative vein is always present in Peugeot's designers, who through the years have created a wide range of eye-catching, revolutionary models. The most daring, interesting and exciting ideas are mixed and sometimes give body and soul to an extreme dream car.

 In Climate Week in New York presented the EV20 Alliance an ambitious goal for electric car production. Four million electric cars within five years. At least four million electric cars will roll on roads around the world 2015th. This means that the group is raising its target for the period with about a million electric vehicles.11 founding members announce ‘EV20’ alliance to scale up plug-in electric vehicles (EVs). 
 

The politicians of the climate summit have been criticized for using 140 private planes and 1200 limos during the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. There are unfortunately not many electric cars or hybrid among that number.

But any solution to the climate crisis must involve active participation from the cities and the politicians. Half the world's population is today living in cities and the number is rapidly growing. Cities of the world are now responsible for
up to 80 per cent of global CO2 emissions.
