BlueOn’is Korea’s first Full Speed Electric Vehicle (FSEV). Hyundai invested a total of about 40 billion won over a one year period to create BlueOn. Hyundai chose LiPoly batteries because compared with previous nickel-metal hydride batteries (NiMH), LiPoly delivers the same power with 30 percent less weight and 40 percent less volume, boosting efficiency and leaving more interior space for passengers.

Acceleration 0-100 km/h in 13.1 seconds
Charging time 6 hours with 220 V power; 25 minute rapid charge to 80%

HYUNDAI SONATA HYBRID MADE ITS DEBUTS AT NEW YORK AUTO SHOW 2010
As global automakers work out implementation timing for new fuel-efficient powertrain technologies such as gasoline direct-injection (GDI), twin-scroll turbochargers, and full-hybrid powertrains, Hyundai announced today that the all-new 2011 Hyundai Sonata is the first vehicle in the industry to offer all three technologies with the new Sonata 2.0T (turbo) and Sonata Hybrid joining the hot-selling GDI-equipped Sonata in Hyundai showrooms later this year.

Smaller electric cars reigns at the North American International Autoshow

The North American International Autoshow in Detroit opens up January 11 to 24th 2010. At least 30 new vehicles are scheduled to be revealed for the first time this week and a number of electric-powered vehicles are set to debut at the North American International Auto show.
Ford won the award for the best green city car for the the Fusion Hybrid.

Trends in the motorshow
Salon trend is smaller cars and focus on power and hybrids.

Elantra LPI HEV - Hybridcar from Hyundai

Hyundai has created a hybrid that emits only 99 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer. Since the car is a hybrid of vehicle fuel and electric car can be even cleaner. Hyundai's new hybrid car just let out 99 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer. 

In Sweden, where they mix our vehicle gas with biogas, emissions could be even less.
Swedish online automagazine  www.alltommotor.se says that carbon dioxide emissions in Sweden, thanks to the biogas, virtually becomes zero.
