Renault could sell 3,500 electric cars in Israel from 2011

Shai Agassi, the boss of California-based electric mobility company Better Place, stated that French automaker Renault could sell 3,500 electric cars in Israel from 2011.

Renault has already shown  Zoe, at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2009 then alongside three other electric car concept. Then it was called Zoe ZE, but is now called only Zoe.
Renault Zoe, a car in Clio-size that will go into production in 2012.

The concept weighs almost 1400 pounds. The electric motor is 80 horses and 222 Nm.

Acceleration
0-100 km / h takes 8.1 seconds and top speed is limited to 135 km/h.

Renault Dezir is a new electric concept car from Renault. It is a low bright red, sports car with 226 Nm of torque. 0-100 mph in 5 seconds. The battery provides a range of 160 kilometers. Created by the design manager Laurens van den Acker.

At the Hannover Fair the Renault Kangoo Express electric transport car ZE (Zero emission) made its debut. Renault has developed several purchase models for customers who want to buy an electric car. Buyers are offered two separate solutions for the purchase of a Kangoo Express ZE electric car. The customer buys or leases its electric car and make a subscription for the rent of the battery.

French automaker Renault will Set to be revealed at the forthcoming Geneva motor 2010 to unveil a brand new hard-top convertible based on its Twingo hatchback. Dubbed the Renault Wind, the new cruiser is described as a “coupe-roadster” 

Pininfarina has released a sketch of its latest concept vehicle. the new car has been built on an Alfa Romeo platform - an homage to the company on its 100th birthday.

Environmental case for EVs during Climate Summit in Copenhagen

The politicians of the climate summit have been criticized for using 140 private planes and 1200 limos during the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. There are unfortunately not many electric cars or hybrid among that number.

But any solution to the climate crisis must involve active participation from the cities and the politicians. Half the world's population is today living in cities and the number is rapidly growing. Cities of the world are now responsible for
up to 80 per cent of global CO2 emissions.

Twizy

Twizy Renault ZE Concept is a small and narrow car where the passenger sits behind the driver. The car is 2.30m in length, and just 1.13m wide. The body colour wheel fairings are not spherical but octagonal, and cover the tyres entirely. Twizy Z.E. Concept is powered by a 15kW (20hp) electric motor. A turning radius of only three meters are aimed for the urban environment. A hint of an electric car for commuting in urban environments that appear in 2011. Maximum range is 100 km.
