Electric car project in Denmark

Eight families in Juelsminde in Denmark is now driving around in electric car in three months. This is the first round of this electric car project, which spans the next three years end  - and the next round can begin. The project looks back at a first round with many experiences and achievements.For electric vehicles has not previously been tested everyday.

EU legislation on car emissions is flawed

The study warns that existing EU legislation on car emissions is flawed because it allows manufacturers to use sales of electric vehicles to offset the continued production of gas-guzzling cars. So-called ‘super credits’ allow carmakers to sell 3.5 high-emitting cars for every electric car sold, without affecting their overall CO2 target.

According to the report, increasing sales of electric cars to 10% of the total could lead to a 20% increase in both oil consumption and CO2 emissions in the EU car sector.

Smite from Vehiconomics - a new ultra light vehicle

Smite is a new "ultra light" vehicle from Swedish Vehiconomics. The vehicle will be called Smite weighing around 130 kilograms and the gasoline performance draw less than 0.2 liters per 10 km. With battery power the vehicle will go 80 kilometers per charge. The current situation is only a prototype, hidden and locked up beyond the transparency of competitors and curious journalists.

Smaller electric cars reigns at the North American International Autoshow

The North American International Autoshow in Detroit opens up January 11 to 24th 2010. At least 30 new vehicles are scheduled to be revealed for the first time this week and a number of electric-powered vehicles are set to debut at the North American International Auto show.
Ford won the award for the best green city car for the the Fusion Hybrid.

Cadillac XTS

The new concept car Cadillac XTS  will be built on the Epsilon II platform, the same architecture underneath the Opel Insignia, Buick LaCrosse, the new Buick Regal and the Saab 9-5 .  The car carries a lot of the design first seen on the celebrated Sixteen concept.

It will premiere at the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 12.

Velozzi is a gorgeous exotic 770 HP plug-in multifuel hybrid electric super car. The car producer is based in Los Angeles.

The Velozzi Supercar will be powered by a 770 HP AC induction electric motor. The SOLO will be a lightweight plug-in hybrid electric crossover with an on-board multi fuel micro turbine battery charger manufactured for the global market. Velozzi has 17 global OEM suppliers. Velozzi is setting up to start mass production of its cars by late 2011 – early 2012.
